Developed by Founder / CEO Rick Schultz, over the course of 14 years, our patented Vortex Magnetic Waveguide Technology employs a magnetic conduction system that guides audio signals with unprecedented precision and purity. Our innovative approach to audio signal transmission results in musical accuracy that is simply unmatched by traditional high-end audio cables. Our state-of-the-art Vortex Magnetic Waveguide is a passive device that employs an array of powerful magnets arranged in a unique configuration surrounded by an outer shell of filtering materials. 

To understand how our Vortex Magnetic Waveguide works, it is crucial to understand how audio signals are transmitted through cables. In basic electronics, we’re often taught that electrons flow through the wire from the amplifier to the speaker. But this is an oversimplified explanation. What actually happens is:

• An audio component, for example an amplifier, creates a changing electric field (E-field).
• This changing electric field in turn creates a magnetic field (B-field) around the conductor.
• Together these two fields form an electromagnetic wave.
• The wave propagates along and around the cable.
• Energy is transferred to the load (speaker/input stage).

The electrons in the conductor respond locally to the field. They oscillate back and forth slightly. But the audio signal energy propagates primarily in the electromagnetic field, not in the conductor of the cable.

So what role does our Vortex Magnetic Waveguide play? As the audio signal propagates in the electromagnetic field, some degradation of the signal takes place. This in turn degrades the performance of an audio system. The Vortex Magnetic Waveguide behaves like an electromagnetic lens, reducing distortion and noise by funneling the signal toward the center of the conductor for maximum purity. This allows the audio signal to flow along the cable in its purest form, while also eliminating problems associated with the RF and EMI signals that introduce interference into the cable from other signal sources. The result is a vast improvement of audio performance to a level that traditional audio cables simply cannot compete with.

As you step up from the Illumination series to the Apparition or Emersion series, you will find a larger, more powerful implementation of this technology.
