At the heart of the Illumination Power Cable is our patented Vortex Magnetic Waveguide Technology—a breakthrough in audio signal transmission. Unlike conventional cable designs, this proprietary system uses magnetic conduction to guide the signal with extraordinary precision and purity, resulting in a level of musical accuracy that is simply unmatched by traditional high-end audio cables.
Inside the waveguide, a patented vibration-eliminating gel works to reduce unwanted noise and distortion. Infused with proprietary materials, this gel enhances the transfer of the magnetically based signal while maintaining exceptional clarity. An internal Faraday cage further refines performance by controlling magnetic forces and keeping them precisely aligned with the conductor.
The Vortex Magnetic Waveguide chassis is constructed using industry-leading additive manufacturing, allowing for a highly controlled and optimized internal structure. In the Illumination Series, this design is light and compact—allowing the cable to hang freely behind your equipment without the need for bulky supports often required by heavier cables.
Design & Technical Details
Every element of the Illumination Power Cable has been engineered for performance and longevity. It features a silver-plated copper conductor for superior conductivity, paired with PTFE (Teflon) dielectrics to ensure signal integrity and stability. Each cable is also cryogenically treated to enhance conductivity and reduce micro-resistance within the materials.
Gold-plated copper connectors provide a secure, high-quality connection that preserves signal purity at every contact point. Across all three Rick Schultz Audio cable series, built-in cable risers/supports are integrated into the design to minimize external interference and maintain optimal positioning.
As with our waveguide technology, the cable housings are manufactured using advanced additive manufacturing techniques, ensuring precision construction and consistent performance in every cable.
